#open shows a number of badges on profiles to indicate different things about them. Currently, there are three badges in use, though more will likely be added in the future.
Confirmed
This badge indicates that the number of individuals represented by a partnered profile matches the number of users with access to that profile.
Community Founder
This badge indicates that the owner of a profile is a community founder.
Staff
This badge indicates that a profile is owned by a member of the #open team.
