Tapping on the icon in the lower right corner of the screen will launch you into Grid View. Grid View allows you to see and filter all of the player profiles that fall within the Boundaries that you’ve set for your profile.
Let’s walk through the #open Grid View interface:
Profile Thumbnails
Using Grid View, you can scroll through cards representing all of the profiles that meet your Boundaries criteria. Tapping on any of the thumbnails in Grid View will bring that profile up in Card View so that you can examine all of the photos and details for that player’s profile.
By default, Grid View cards will show the player’s primary photo, display name, age, orientation, and gender.
Like or Pass in the Grid
While in Grid View, you can tap on the Like () or Pass (
) buttons at the bottom of a card. To learn more about Liking and Passing in #open, see: Liking, Passing, Matching! Oh My!
But don’t worry! Grid View lets you revisit all of the decisions you’ve made about the profiles you’ve seen!
Filtering Profiles using the Grid View Switches
While in Grid View, you will see a series of switches across the bottom of the screen. Each of these switches will toggle the visibility of profiles in different states. You can show or hide "new" () “matched” (
), “liked” (
), and “passed” (
) profiles by toggling the associated switch.
If, for example, you tap the passed switch (), all the profiles that you have passed on will be visible in Grid View. You can now peruse and reconsider these profiles and change your mind about them (or not).
To change your mind about a profile, just tap the undo arrow at the bottom left of the profile card. This will set the profile back to its original state.
Switching to Card View
In the lower right corner you’ll see the Card () icon, tap it to change to Card View.
Card View gives you access to all the photos and details for new profiles that fall within your Boundaries settings. Profiles are displayed one at a time, so that you can evaluate each profile in detail. Once you choose to like or pass on a profile in card view, the next card will be presented.
