One of the first things you’ll notice about the #open application, apart from all of the amazing people that have joined the community, is the clean and simple interface design. Everything you need is easy to access directly from the opening screen!
Take a look in each of the four corners:
In the upper left corner of the screen, you’ll see the Settings icon (). Tap this to access to update and make changes to your profile, boundaries, or settings.
For more details about #open Settings see: Profiles & Preferences
In the upper right corner, you’ll find the Messaging icon (). Tap this to access your current list of connections (people you’ve “matched” with) and all of the chat conversations you already have going.

Card View/ Grid View
In the lower right corner you’ll see the Card () or Grid () icon, tap these to toggle between Card View or Grid View.
Card View displays all the photos and details for new profiles that fall within your Boundaries settings. Each profile is displayed one at a time, so that you can evaluate each profile in detail.
Grid View shows you smaller cards for all the profiles that meet your Boundaries criteria. You can scroll through Grid View, use the filter switches to show or hide profiles that you have already “matched”, “liked,” or “passed” on, and tap on a thumbnail to bring that profile up in Card View.

In the lower left corner of the screen you’ll find the Search icon (). Tap this to search the community for profiles that interest you. You can search #open profiles either by username or by hashtags.
#open uses hashtags to allow players to communicate their preferences and desires

Although not located in one of the four corners, another very important component of the #open interface is the #open logo () at the top of the screen.
If you have both a Solo profile and Partnered profile, tapping on the #open logo will switch between your profiles.
If you are browsing in Solo mode you will see a single #open logo () at the top of your screen, if you are in Partnered mode you’ll see the double logo ().
If you only have one Solo profile or Partnered profile, tapping on the logo will take you to the Solo/Partnered page where you can invite another player to join you in a Partnered profile, create a new profile, or toggle any of your profiles from Hidden to Active.
