#open uses a double opt-in system for messaging: if you like a player's profile and they like your profile back (or vice versa), you become ”matched,” and the owners of both profiles will be notified that they have a new match available. Once you’ve matched, you can send messages to each other and start chatting. You can find the profiles you have already matched with by going to the Messages screen (tap on the 
button in the upper right corner of the screen); if you haven’t already started chatting with them, their icon will appear at the top in the New Connections area.
